Workplace giving program

If your business or employer offers Payroll Giving you can donate to Ganbina regularly and also reduce your taxable income.

Advantages of payroll or workplace giving

If you are an employee and are signed up for payroll giving, any charitable donations you want to make will be deducted from your payroll. As long as the charitable donation has DGR-1 status, then any donation you make will be tax deductible.

Payroll giving is a more convenient way for employees to donate to charity, and it allows them to receive tax-deductible benefits immediately.

When donations are taken out of your payroll, they appear on your payslip, and the tax deduction is automatic. This means you will receive your tax deduction for your donation with each payroll rather than needing to collect receipts and claim it with your tax return.

Many businesses that are registered for Payroll Giving will match employee donations. For example, for every dollar you donate to a charity through Payroll, your employer may also match a dollar, doubling your donation.
