Our Program

Jobs4U2 emphasises three critical elements – Education, Employment and Training and Life Skills – to empower the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.

Jobs4U2

Jobs4U2 is Ganbina’s school-to-work transition model for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth aged 5-25. It focuses on three essential life areas: Education, Employment and Training, and Life Skills, to ensure the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth have the education, skills, and confidence to unlock their full potential.

Our Programs

Jobs4U2 tackles three major areas, as well as life skills, which are crucial for the future success of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth.

5-18 Years Old

Jobs4U2 Education

Jobs4U2 Education focuses on ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth remain in mainstream education and understand the connection between education, career choices, and life opportunities.

There is a strong focus on ensuring children and youth remain engaged in the education system and graduate Year 12, as well as create an employment vision, which is linked to their education.

15+ Years Old

Jobs4U2 Employment

Jobs4U2 Employment aims to help youth turn the vision for their career path, established during the Jobs4U2 Education program, into a reality.

This program aims to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth obtain a position of their choice and progress through the workforce to the best of their abilities.

16-25 Years Old

Jobs4U2 Training

Jobs4U2 Training helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth develop workplace readiness and the skills or further education required to obtain the career of their choice.

This program specifically focuses on engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in further education, i.e., TAFE, university, and vocational study, post-Year 12 graduation, and linking training with employment and career aspirations.

5-25 Years Old

Life Skills

Ganbina provides additional support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and youth so there are no socio-economic barriers to accessing education, employment and/or training.

This support ranges from financial assistance for education or employment expenses to ensuring children and youth have essential documents such as a birth certificate, bank account or a driver’s licence.

Whatever our children and youth need to unlock their full potential in education, employment and training, we are here to provide whatever support we can.
