Sam was first supported by Ganbina when he was in Year 7. He commenced his secondary school education at Mooroopna Secondary College in Shepparton before having the opportunity to move to Melbourne in Year 9 to complete his education. After completing Year 12, he studied at RMIT, where he completed a Bachelor of Communications. He has held professional communication roles at Crown Resorts and is today the Indigenous Affairs Manager at Coles Group.
